Inspecting the willow branch

Description

In the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, the tradition is to hold four species: an etrog (a citrus fruit native to Israel), a palm branch (in Hebrew, lulav), a myrtle branch (hadas) and a willow branch (arava). This young ultra-orthodox Jewish man is inspecing the willow branch (arava) in the market, measuring it carefully to ensure that it is 100% "Kosher".

Nice photo. however that would be the hadas, not arava.
The etrog isn't only native to Israel, there are fields in Yemen and Italy as well, probably other countries too.
Many Jews actually prefer an etrog from Italy over the Israeli ones since they are known not to have been grafted.

Still a great photo.
